So let’s paint a scenario. It’s the middle of winter, freezing cold and you have to go out in a snowstorm to run errands downtown Marquette.
Sounds terrible, eh?
But what if you knew that at the end of your errands you could stop into Third Street and relax in a warm, inviting location with your favourite bagel sandwich, a cup of coffee, and perhaps a book?
Now that snowstorm isn’t looking too bad.
A Little About Third Street Bagel
Third Street Bagel is a locally owned bagel and coffee shop where the bagels are cooked daily, the coffee is fresh and hot. There is something for everyone, from bagel sandwiches to fresh deli salads to specialty cream cheeses. And the food is just half of the story!
You can choose from a variety of seating options, from a booth to cozy chairs next to a fireplace, making this a perfect location to pull out your iPad and check Things to the in the UP and see what’s new! (Oh, did I mention there is free WiFi here?).
My Experience at Third Street Bagel
This is one of the first places I ate at when I first moved to Marquette and it’s been a favorite ever since. Sometimes it’s just for a cranberry orange bagel to tide me over, and other times it’s for the breakfast sandwich with everything on it!
As a college student I love the atmosphere at Third Street. I can study here, I can visit with friends here, and I can get a good, fresh lunch for a reasonable price.
Insider Tip: If you have the opportunity to try out one of the special toppings or coffees, try it! I’ve never been disappointed.
Bottom Line: Third Street Bagel is more than just a bagel shop. It’s a cozy place to enjoy a meal and your daily cappuccino as your watch the snowstorm blow by.

A newly discovered favorite of mine, the Middle Eastern on an Asiago bagel is pictured below. One of their delicious vegetarian options!
